Common problems with compressors
Oct 30, 2024
1. Compressor unloading failure may be caused by insufficient compressor oil pressure, oil pipe blockage, and dirt in the oil cylinder.
2. The compressor starts and stops because the oil pressure is too low. Use the oil pressure regulating valve to increase the oil pressure or the oil pressure is too high and needs to be readjusted
3. The oil pressure of the compressor cannot be adjusted high. The oil pressure adjustment fails. The bearing clearance is too large. Repair or replace. The filter is blocked. First debug it manually. If it doesn’t work, drain the crankcase oil.
4. The reason why the compressor cannot start may be a circuit failure. It may also be the compressor itself. For circuit failure, it may be that the refrigerator has no power supply, an open circuit occurs, the computer board fails, the starter is damaged, and the overload causes the compressor to not start. The voltage is too low. The heat dissipation of the outdoor unit is poor. There is a problem with the system and the capacitor is broken.
The pipeline pressure is too high, causing the compressor to shut down due to thermal protection. The main reason is that the outdoor unit heat sink is too dirty and the speed is slow. If the heat sink is too dirty, you can use tap water to directly rinse the heat sink. The slow speed is mostly caused by the capacitor. If there is too much Freon, the compressor load will increase, and some Freon should be released.
Sometimes it is normal when measured with a multimeter, but it cannot be measured when the compressor is short-circuited. Therefore, the simplest method is to use a multimeter to measure whether it is powered on. If it does not start when powered on, you can replace a capacitor. If it is not good, the compressor is broken.
Check whether there is any problem with the refrigeration system, electrical system, ventilation system. Improper installation, abnormal compressor vibration, fan collision.
