How to maintain and service the Oil filter?(02)

- For bag-type coarse or medium efficiency filters, under normal use conditions (average 8 hours per day, continuous operation), they should generally be replaced with new ones after 7-9 weeks of use.
- For sub-high efficiency filters, under normal use conditions (average 8 hours per day, continuous operation), they should generally be replaced after 5-6 months of use.
- For the above filters, if there are differential pressure gauges or differential pressure sensors before and after the filters, the coarse filter must be replaced when the differential pressure value is greater than 250Pa; the medium filter must be replaced when the differential pressure value is greater than 330Pa; the sub-high efficiency filter must be replaced when the differential pressure value is greater than 400Pa, and the original filter cannot be reused;
- For high efficiency filters, when the resistance value of the filter is greater than 450Pa; or when the air flow velocity on the air outlet surface drops to the minimum, even after replacing the coarse and medium filters, the air flow velocity still cannot be increased; or when the surface of the high efficiency filter has irreparable leakage, a new high efficiency filter must be replaced; if the above conditions are not met, it can generally be replaced once every 1-2 years according to the use environment conditions.
- In order to give full play to the role of the filter, during the selection and use process, the filter’s headwind speed should not be greater than 2.5m/s for coarse and medium efficiency filters, and should not be greater than 1.5m/s for sub-high efficiency filters and high efficiency filters. This is not only conducive to ensuring the efficiency of the filter, but also can extend the service life of the filter and save costs.
- When the equipment is running, the filter should generally not be replaced; if the filter cannot be stopped for replacement because the replacement period has expired, it is only allowed to replace the coarse and medium efficiency filters without stopping the fan; sub-high efficiency filters and high efficiency filters must be replaced after stopping the air supply.
- The sealing gasket between the filter and the connecting frame must be tight and leak-free to ensure the filtering effect.
- For high-efficiency filters that need to be used in high humidity and high temperature environments, filter paper, partitions, and frame materials that are resistant to high temperature and high humidity must be selected to meet production requirements.
- For biological clean rooms and pharmaceutical clean rooms, filters with metal frames must be selected, and their surfaces must not be easily rusted. Filters with wooden frames are not allowed to prevent bacteria from being generated and affecting product qualification.
